Do not abandon a stand that is still talking
One good sit can tell you more than a week of guessing. If a stand shows doe movement, young buck traffic, and a mature deer using the same edge, do not be too quick to call it burned. Sometimes the right move is to leave, reset, and come back with a second tag or a second hunter.
𐂂 Pay attention to what shows after the first shot, not just before it.
𐂂 If the wind stays clean and the field keeps feeding, the stand may still have life.
𐂂 Do not stomp through the whole setup after recovery if you plan to hunt it again.
